Richard G. KallageRichard G. Kallage

Mr. Kallage has over 20 years experience in leading and directing corporate start-ups, divisions, and private equity funded companies. Virtually all of his background is in some of the world’s most competitive industries. He has been particularly successful in turning around poorly performing operations, and spawning new high growth product lines and stand-alone entities. Mr. Kallage spent 14 years at Illinois Tool Works (ITW) in engineering, marketing, and manufacturing managerial positions, and start-up / division general manager. Following this, he was with Bourns, Inc. for 8 years as division president, group vice president, and corporate senior vice president. For 10 years, he was President and CEO of Champion Technologies, Inc., headquartered in suburban Chicago.

Mr. Kallage has deep experience in the development and manufacturing of engineered and commodity electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical components and modular devices for the industrial, automotive, and communications industries. He holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and is the holder of two patents. Dick’s entire career has been with higher risk and volatility enterprises. His operating philosophy is based on competing through the fundamentals of value creation, continuous improvement, and innovation. He is the prime developer of the Practical Lean approach for manufacturers and fabricators.

Dick is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, The Tooling and Manufacturing Association, FMAI, and IMA.

Patric M. DonahuePatric M. Donahue

Mr. Donahue, a CPA, is a successful financial executive with proven success in finance, operations, creditor relations, negotiations, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Donahue was the Vice President & CFO of Champion Technologies, Inc. for 14 years. He structured the finance organization, implemented reporting systems covering all business operations, directed effective asset utilization efforts to manage working capital, and structured organizations to significantly reduce break even points in response to business conditions. He has particularly successful experience in negotiating numerous bank loans and lease agreements and in developing solid relationships with senior creditors. Prior to joining Champion Technologies, Inc., Mr. Donahue held positions of increasing responsibility with Flying Food Fare, Chicago, Ill., Eastview Co., NY, NY., McGraw Edison Company, Elgin, Ill. and Price Waterhouse & Co., Chicago, Ill. He holds an MBA, Finance (with Distinction) from DePaul University and a BS, Accounting, University of Illinois at Champaign.

Pat has successfully completed the requirements of the Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP) examination. Pat focuses in understanding the drivers of cash generation and enterprise value and in developing systems and measures that focus the organization toward maximizing both.

Pat is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, Midwest Business Brokers and Intermediaries, FMAI, and IMA.

William S. BarronWilliam S. Barron

Mr. Barron is a senior executive with broad and highly successful experience in marketing, sales, manufacturing, strategy, acquisitions, and general management.

He has a deep background and interest in fundamental issues involving manufacturing competitiveness and effective strategy and differentiation. His focus is on practical sales, marketing and operational solutions for smaller and mid-sized companies.

He has particularly deep and extensive experience in offshore manufacturing and market development, especially in Asia including China. In addition to consulting with companies about Asia he also utilizes this experience as a member of the University of Illinois International Business School’s Advisory Board.

Mr. Barron was an officer of the Littelfuse Corporation for 12 years serving as VP/General Manager of its Electronics Division and Corporate VP of Sales and Marketing. Prior to Littelfuse Mr. Barron held senior management positions at TRW Cinch, a manufacturer of interconnect devices for a broad range of markets. He was with ITW for 15 years in a number of positions in marketing, sales, and manufacturing. He holds an MBA from Northwestern University and a BS in Industrial Administration from the University of Illinois.

Bill is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, IMA and FMAI.

Gregory J. Scharnott

Greg is a highly experienced and successful manufacturing and distribution manager; having developed and implemented process improvement programs across diverse manufacturing industries. His experience includes managing multi-site operations and sourcing components overseas. Greg has created and initiated strategic plans to support growth while reducing costs by utilizing world class manufacturing and supply chain initiatives. His experiences include turnaround leadership, M&A assessment and integration, organization development, lean manufacturing, supply chain management, outsourcing, inventory reduction, performance measures, and budget/P&L management.

Most recently Greg was the Executive Vice President of Manufacturing and Distribution for Patrick Industries, Inc. There his manufacturing and sourcing experience was used to formulate and integrate a continuous improvement program which was instrumental in the turnaround to profitability.

Mr. Scharnott previously held positions as Vice President of Manufacturing and Operations for Da-Lite Screen, Chore-Time Brock, and Universal Instruments. He began his career with General Electric where he held several management positions of increasing responsibility in manufacturing and sourcing.

Greg holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Akron. Greg is a graduate of the renowned GE Manufacturing Management Program and is a member of the Association of Manufacturing Excellence and the Turnaround Management Association.
